The Plateau State Police Command has confirmed that 12 people were killed in yesterday’s attack by gunmen in the Angwan Rukuba community, Jos North Local Government Area. In a statement today, signed by the command’s spokesman, Alabo Alfred, the police said the victims included 10 men and two women.
The police commissioner commiserated with the families of the victims and the people of the Angwan Rukuba community, assuring them that investigations are ongoing to bring the perpetrators to justice. He also said additional security personnel had been deployed to the area to prevent any further breakdown of law and order.
